Irene A. Sullivan

Irene A. Sullivan is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, NYU, and Fordham University School of Law. She began her legal career in 1976 at Skadden, Arps, where she handled a wide variety of commercial matters, with an emphasis on antitrust and securities litigation in federal courts and insurance coverage disputes. She was a partner from 1982 to 2003 and served for several years as Head of the New York office. Ms. Sullivan was President of both NYWBA and WBASNY. She also served on numerous bar committees, including the City Bar Committee to Enhance Diversity in the Profession, Task Force on Women and the Profession, City Bar Public Service Network, and the Advisory Committee on Civil Practice. She was a member of the National Advisory Board, the NALP Foundation for Research and Education, and the ABA Task Force on Insurance Coverage Litigation. She also served on the Committee on Character and Fitness for the First Judicial Department.
