Vivian Rivera Drohan

Vivian Rivera Drohan is a partner at Drohan Lee LLP, a Chambers-ranked firm, where she leads the firm’s Litigation Practice. Her work spans federal and state trial and appellate courts, private arbitration and mediation involving contract, regulatory and investment matters for clients in the financial and hospitality industries. She represents clients before regulatory bodies including the Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, National Futures Association and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has been a speaker on topics such as financial fraud and developments in regulatory compliance and enforcement involving various investment vehicles and digital assets. Vivian is a FINRA and American Arbitration Association arbitrator.

Vivian’s commitment to public service includes extensive pro bono work for various organizations, including her prior service on the Board of Directors of FamilyKind Ltd. She has strong commitment to diversity and equity. She has acted as pro bono counsel to the New York City LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, as well as represented the New York Coalition of Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. She plays an active role in Drohan Lee’s membership with the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Firms.

Vivian is the proud mother of two grown daughters, one an attorney and the other a Michelin trained chef. She is married to her legal partner, Jacqueline. In her limited free time, Vivian enjoys traveling, gardening and starting (and occasionally finishes) DIY projects. A favorite pastime on the weekends is scouring flea markets and tag sales, and she is an avid watcher of the show Flea Market Flip.

Vivian earned her undergraduate degree from Fordham University and her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the national Moot Court Honor Society.

Since 2013, she has been recognized annually as a Super Lawyer in the New York Super Lawyers edition for Business Litigation. She is admitted to practice in New York and Washington, D.C., as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
