Hon. Crystal R. Villaseñor

The Honorable Crystal R. Villaseñor was elected to New York County Civil Court in 2024 and was assigned as an Acting Justice in Manhattan Family Court, where she presides over Child Protection, Custody, Visitation, and Family Offense cases.

Prior to her current role, Judge Villaseñor served as an Associate Court Attorney in the Bronx County Criminal Court to the Honorable Dan Quart. Before becoming a Court Attorney, Judge Villaseñor managed her own law practice, representing clients in Civil Court, Family Court, and Supreme Court. Judge Villaseñor served as a Special Master to the Honorable Suzanne Adams, A.J.S.C, through the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission.

Judge Villaseñor serves as Vice President of the New York Women’s Bar Association and is the co-chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Civil Courts, and Summer Program committees. Judge Villaseñor previously served as a co-chair of the Diversity committee for the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York.

Judge Villaseñor volunteers as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of Greater New York Troop 6000, building community and promoting leadership for girls living in temporary housing in the New York City shelter system.

Judge Villaseñor lives on the Upper East Side with her dog Atticus.
