Melissa F. Glassman

Melissa F. Glassman began her career as an attorney at the Administration For Children’s Services (ACS) in the Manhattan office where she represented the Commissioner of ACS in child neglect and child abuse cases. In August 2021, Melissa began as an associate at Advocate, LLP, a matrimonial and family law firm dedicated to the successful resolution of personal and financial family legal issues.
Melissa is a co-chair of the Membership Committee of the New York Women’s Bar Association (NYWBA), a co-chair of the Mentoring Circles of the NYWBA, a co-chair of the Martha E. Gifford Summer Program on “What it’s REALLY Like to Practice Law as a Woman” of the NYWBA, a co-chair of the WBASNY Membership and Fundraising Committees, and former co-chair of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) Convention 2025 Committee. Additionally, Melissa is the co-creator and panelist for the NYWBA “The Art of Networking” Program.
In addition to her involvement in the Women’s Bar Association, Melissa serves as a mentor, providing career counseling to current Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School students. She is also actively involved in volunteering and fundraising efforts for both Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center “Cycle for Survival” and Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Melissa earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan in 2014 and her JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School in 2017 with a concentration in family law.
Melissa is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and before the Supreme Court of the United States.
